2003 Softail® Deuce FXSTD

2003 was Harley-Davidson's 100th Anniversary. The vast majority of the Harleys made that year were either Black/Silver, Gunmetal (blue), or Vivid Black. A few were produced in Luxury Rich Red Pearl and even fewer in White Pearl. This 2003 FXSTD which is now offered for sale by Latus Harley Davidson/Triumph is one of the latter. The exhaust system on this bike was upgraded to a very attractive looking and much better sounding custom unit. The air filter is now a high flow device. My favorite upgrade is the installation of a set of chrome drag bars. Chromed controls, chromed hand levers custom hand grips and custom mirrors now reside on these bars. The foot controls, which are extended, are also upgraded units. The saddle is stock but the passenger now has the benefit of a padded mini back rest. An oil temperature gauge completes the functional additions. Our Service Department just completed a full 15,000 mile service on this 2003 Deuce so it is now ready for its next owner. 2005 Softail® Springer Classic FLSTSCI

This well-accessorized 2005 Harley-Davidson Softail Springer Classic is the motorcycle that Harley-Davidson should still be building. They look great, are very comfortable and do double duty as a cool cruiser or a very competent touring machine. This FLSTSCI (the "I" is for the optional fuel injection - carburetors were standard that year) is painted Black Pearl. Its previous owner spent a lot of money for the right type of upgrades that enhance an already fun motorcycle. A cut down touring windshield graces the front end. You have already noticed that its handlebars are "period correct" higher touring bars, but you might not have noticed that the hand grips are from the '50s, as are the round rear view mirrors. A set of Harley- Davidson saddle bags are hard mounted to the rear fender. To complete the Touring upgrades, a detachable padded passengers back rest, complete with a luggage rack, hangs off of the aft end. My favorite upgrade is the installation of a Thunder Header exhaust system - black, of course. These sound great and also help out the Horse Power. 2006 Softail® Springer FXSTSI

This is an easy write-up. When you look at the pictures either you want this Springer so badly that you would sell your relatives into indentured servitude, or you don't understand why people would ever spend their hard earned money on a bike with front forks from the 1930s and handlebars the height of Mt St. Helens. Guess which side I am on? HINT: my relatives have gone into hiding since this FXSTSI came into Team Latus. What good is a quiet Springer Softail? Answer: Not much! A full Vance and Hines exhaust system makes sounds that make good on its horsepower promise. Its hand grips come from Harley's Nostalgia collection. I thought that its saddle was custom, but 2006 photos say that it is stock. The handle bars are 14" units on about 3" risers. I could write more but you have already made up your mind. 2006 Softail® Heritage FLSTCI

The Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail Classic is either a Cruiser that likes to Tour, or a Tourer that is agile enough that it makes a great Cruiser. Which is correct? You decide. This 2006 FLSTCI comes with Fuel Injection in place of a Carb. A pair of performance mufflers have replaced the stock units and a HIGH FLOW Air cleaner lets the custom mufflers do their job. The padded passengers back rest is standard equipment but the chromed luggage rack attached to it is an upgrade. The previous owner also added a custom engine guard. Its Deep Cobalt Pearl paint looks good and is in good condition. This Harley-Davidson rides good, looks good and is aggressively priced. 2007 Softail® Night Train FXSTB

This featured 2007 Harley-Davidson Softail Night Train is painted Black Denim which matches its personality perfectly. Its previous owner installed a full Vance and Hines Exhaust system, in chrome. This is one of the very few pieces of chrome that you will find on this Harley. To provide the extra air that this exhaust system needs, a Screamin' Eagle high flow air cleaner now resides right near the riders right knee. A set of bright orange Screamin' Eagle spark plug wires are present and provide questionable function but they look "kool" as hell! My personal favorite enhancement is a custom Harley-Davidson instrument panel. A tachometer and upgraded speedo and all of the usual readouts now make their home in a very attractive dash. A padded passengers back rest/luggage rack will make things more comfortable for your significant other; they are blacked out as well. Night Trains are probably the most radical and stylish of all the Softails that were produced by Harley. I owned one (a 2001 model) and I loved it. I just wish that it had the 96" motor/6 speed cruise drive transmission that this one has. This is a Harley that must be seen in person. 2007 Softail® Night Train FXSTB

This 2007 Night Train is a beautiful example of a well equipped and well cared for FXSTB. It is Vivid Black in color as all Night trains should be (just my humble opinion). It was born at the Harley-Davidson Factory with a Smooth Rim wire wheel on the front and a solid wheel in the rear. Two brand new tires were just installed by us to fit these wheels before we O.K.ed this Harley for sale. A quick release windshield comes with this motorcycle. Take it off (in seconds) in the summer and reinstall it just as rapidly when the frost and rain gets here. Another comfort/convenience item is the blacked out padded passengers back rest/luggage rack. The only major non-blacked-out piece of equipment is a beautiful Vance and Hines exhaust system. As you will see as soon as I post this FXSTB's pictures, the rear view mirrors are flamed and are a bit over-the-top, but you might like them. They are installed on Fat Drag Handle Bars which I DO like. In 2007 Harley Davidson upgraded all of their big motor bikes to 96 C.I. and added one more gear to their transmissions for a total of six. 2008 Softail® Deluxe FLSTN

Some one took a Red 2008 Harley-Davidson Deluxe and optioned it out to have the best features of the Deluxe (50's Pan Head styling, compact seating position etc) and the Heritage Softail Classic (a great cruiser/tourer). A detachable Touring Windshield from Harley Davidson was installed along with a set of Heritage Softail Classic leather saddle bags. To complete the touring options, a detachable passenger's padded back rest was installed. A chromed luggage rack magically made its appearance. A set of engine guards now grace this FLSTN's side flanks. A windshield leather pouch is now bolted to the windshield (where else?). The stock Federally approved mufflers were jettisoned and in their place a set of Harley-Davidson Screamin' Eagle mufflers reside. These have a much nicer sound to them and fit the theme of this Deluxe perfectly. It would cost a heck of a lot to reproduce all of these options where they not already installed. 2009 Softail® Night Train FXSTB

What makes this 2009 Harley-Davidson Night Train unique is the set of speakers (yes!) that are located behind its bikini fairing. There is a volume control that is located next to the right hand grip. Now you can listen to TUNES on your Cruiser! What a Country! A Vance and Hines exhaust system has been installed by its previous owner and is a definite improvement over the stock unit. A high flow air cleaner is also installed to complement the exhaust. A slightly higher set of drag bars are present. A security system courtesy of Harley-Davidson completes this package. Being a 2009 Harley-Davidson, it has a 96 C.I. V-twin motor and a 6 speed Cruise Drive gear box. Its Black Denim color appears to be made for this already blacked out FXSTB. This seems to be our month for Night Trains.
