1983 Sportster® - XLS1000

This is one well preserved 1983 XLS1000 "Ironhead"!(If you have to ask what an Ironhead is, kindly turn the page or do some research). Everything works from the dash mounted tach(an XLS feature) to the non-cancelling turnsignals. The seat was upgraded to a Corbin and the bike has risers, but, except for the exhaust system , the bike is "collectably" stock. Some nice leather, period correct, saddlebags are installed to let you take some polish to the next vintage bike rally. This is a collector bike but can be driven anywhere. 1983 Wide Glide® - FXWG

If you look at the seat of this 1983 Harley Davidson FXWG (Wideglide) you will understand the rest of the machine. The seat is a period correct Corbin double bucket with a quilted covering that was all the rage in the '80's. Try to find an original one today! Its paint job is a very decent dark green that looks black the first few times you see it. The bike runs and drives quite well. The speedometer reads 3,482 miles and is obviously not correct. If this 'Glide were mine, I would deep six the current set of handle bars and put on some nice high ones. I would then throw on some more chrome in all the right spots and then I would just ride it and enjoy it. Good Shovels at a reasonable price are getting very hard to find. This is one of that vanishing breed.
